Switching your website over
is easier than you think
We take over the site you already have, whatever it was built with, and look after it from £49 a month. Your design, your content and your web address all stay the same.
What changes is how it’s looked after. When you want something updated, you email Danny, and if it arrives before 2pm on a working day it’s live that afternoon.
Signs it may be time to move
None of it means your current provider is bad at their job. Usually the arrangement has simply stopped suiting you, and that’s a perfectly good reason to change it.
Changes take days or even weeks
You send a request and wait. Sometimes you chase it, and sometimes you give up and live with the old price on the page.
Every small job comes with a bill
A common arrangement is £100 to £300 a month for hosting and maintenance, plus around £100 an hour for any change. It’s hard to budget for, and harder to justify for a five-minute edit.
You’re not sure who owns what
The domain might be registered to your web person, and the hosting account might be in their name too. It isn’t always deliberate, but it makes leaving feel harder than it should.
The site looks older than your business
It was fine when it was built. Since then phones, search and your customers have moved on, and a redesign has never been quoted at a price that made sense.
You pay every month and can’t say what for
Updates might be happening and backups might exist, but nobody has ever told you. Usually you only find out when something breaks.

Changes made the same day by email
Write what you want in a line or two. Small changes that reach us before 2pm on a working day go live that afternoon, and later ones are done the next working day. On Care and Growth they’re included, however many you send.

One monthly price, published up front
Plans are £49, £99 or £199 a month, and they’re all on the pricing page. Anything bigger than a small change gets a fixed price before work starts, so there’s never an hourly bill to dread.

Everything registered in your name
Your domain is registered to you and the site is yours from the first day. Plans roll monthly, and if you ever leave we hand everything over at no cost.

Hosting, updates and security taken care of
Hosting, security updates, daily backups and monitoring all happen in the background. You hear from us when something needs a decision, and the rest of the time you don’t have to think about it.
How the move works
For you, it mostly means finding some logins and replying to a couple of emails. Your current site stays online the whole time.

We talk it through On a 20-minute call we look at your site together. You’ll know which plan fits and what the move involves before you agree to anything.

You share access We’ll need the logins listed further down this page. If you can’t find some of them, that’s normal, and we’ll help you track them down.

We take a full backup Before we touch anything, we copy the whole site, files and database, from your current host. Nothing changes on your live site.

We set it up on new hosting The copy goes onto fast hosting that suits how the site is built, and WordPress sites stay on WordPress. We test it page by page on a private address first.

We switch it over We point your domain at the new copy, then check the security certificate, every form and your email, so enquiries keep arriving.

We tidy up Software is brought up to date and anything unused is removed, so the site ends up quicker and safer than when it arrived.

Then you give notice Only once the new site is confirmed working do you cancel with your old provider, so there’s never a moment without a working website.
What we’ll need from you
These four cover almost every website. Send what you have, and we’ll work out the rest together.
- Your domain registrar The company your web address is registered with, such as 123 Reg, GoDaddy or Namecheap. This is how we point your address at the new hosting.
- Your current hosting Where the site lives now. We use it to take the backup before anything moves.
- Your website’s admin login For WordPress, that’s the dashboard login. For other website builders, it’s the account you’d use to edit pages.
- Anything connected to the site Booking systems, newsletters, payment providers and analytics. A list of names is enough to start with.
Logins are kept in a password manager and never sent back and forth by email.

Will my website go offline during the move?
No. Your current site stays up while we copy and test the new one, and the switch itself is a change to where your domain points. Visitors carry on using the site as normal.
Will I lose my place in Google?
We keep every page at the same address, so search engines see the same site in a new home. If any addresses do need to change, we redirect the old ones to the new ones.
What happens to my email?
If your email uses the same domain as your website, we check it carefully when we switch so messages keep arriving. Whether we look after the email itself depends on how it’s set up now, and we’ll talk that through on the call.
My site isn’t built on WordPress. Can you still take it on?
Usually, yes. On the call we’ll tell you how we’d look after a site built the way yours is, and whether moving it somewhere else would be worth it.
Do I have to tell my current provider?
Only once the new site is live and working, and that conversation stays yours. If you’d rather not write it, we’ll draft a short, polite email you can send.
Will my site look any different?
Not unless you want it to. We move it exactly as it is. If you’d like a new design later, that’s a rebuild, priced separately and agreed up front.
What if I want to leave later?
Then you leave at the end of the month. Everything is already in your name, and we hand over the site, its files and any logins at no cost.
