Rebuilds
A website your business
can be proud of
We design and build new sites for small businesses from £1,000. The price and what it includes are agreed in writing before any work starts, and once the site is live, your monthly plan looks after it.
Pay in full at the start, or half at the start and half at launch.
When a new site is worth it
A rebuild is a bigger decision than switching, so it’s worth being sure. These are the signs we look for.
Worth it if…
- It’s slow, especially on a phone, and people give up before it loads.
- It no longer describes what you do, or describes it in a way you’d never say out loud.
- It’s built on software nobody wants to touch any more, so every change feels like a risk.
- Bookings or sales go through a platform that takes a commission, and you’d like more of them to come to you directly.
- It looks noticeably older than your business, and you’ve started apologising for it.
What every new site includes
The details change with every business. These don’t.
-
Designed around what visitors need to do
We start from the action that matters, whether that’s an enquiry, a booking or a sale, and make the route to it obvious on every page.
-
Fast on phones
Pages are built to load quickly on a mobile signal, which is where a lot of your visitors will first see them.
-
Words that say what you do
We help write or tidy the copy so it says plainly what you offer, where and for how much. Clear writing does more for enquiries than any design flourish.
-
Search basics done properly
Page titles, descriptions, headings, image descriptions, a sitemap and Google Search Console are all set up before launch.
-
Your old links still work
If any page addresses change, the old ones are redirected to the new ones, so you keep the search rankings and links you’ve built up.
-
Built in your name
The site is built in your own account, and the domain, code and content belong to you. Nothing is held back if you ever move on.
How a rebuild works
The price is agreed at the second step and doesn’t change after that. Your current site stays up the whole time.
-
A conversation about the business We find out what you sell, who visits and what you need the site to get them to do. We gather your existing words and photos at the same time.
-
A fixed quote You get a written price and a plain list of what’s included. Nothing starts until you’ve agreed to it.
-
The build We build the site in your own account, keeping your existing page addresses or setting up redirects for any that change.
-
Your review You get a private link to the finished site and a round of changes, so it’s right before anyone else sees it.
-
Launch We switch it on and set up the security certificate, analytics and Google Search Console, then submit the sitemap so search engines find the new pages quickly.
-
Looked after from then on The site moves onto a monthly plan, so changes are an email away from the first day.

Cost and payment
Most small business sites start at £1,000. The final price depends on how many pages you need, how much writing there is to do, and whether the site has to take bookings, payments or orders. You’ll know the exact figure before you commit, and it won’t change unless you ask for something new.
We don’t spread a rebuild across the monthly fee. Doing that would mean tying you into a minimum term, and none of our plans have one.
For comparison, projects like these are often quoted at £3,000 to £5,000. The difference comes from working without an office or account managers, and from modern tools that make the routine parts of a build much quicker.
The tools we build with
You don’t need to know what any of these are. In short, we pick whatever keeps your site fastest and easiest to look after.
- For most marketing sites
Astro
A modern way of building sites that produces plain, fast pages with very little to go wrong. There are no plugins to keep updating, so it stays quick and secure and is cheap to host. When you want a change, you email us.
- If you publish a lot yourself
Next.js and Sanity
If you’ll be adding news, listings, recipes or articles every week, you get a simple editor of your own where you can write and publish without touching the design.
- If you already have it
WordPress
If your current site is on WordPress and it suits you, there’s no need to move. We can redesign it and keep it on WordPress, on hosting built for it.
Questions about new sites
If yours isn’t here, email hello@laspi.co.uk and you’ll get a straight answer.
How long does a new site take?
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly the words and photos come together. You’ll get a realistic launch date with your quote, and we’ll keep you posted against it.
Do I need to write all the content?
No. Send what you have, even if it’s rough, and we’ll shape it. If more writing is needed, it’s included in the quote so there are no surprises later.
What about photos?
Real photos of your business, your place and your work do far more than stock images. If you don’t have many, we’ll suggest what to take, and a recent phone is usually good enough.
Can I update the site myself?
If it’s built with an editor, yes. If not, you email us and it’s done, usually the same day. Most people find that easier anyway.
Do I have to stay on a monthly plan afterwards?
Most people choose one, because it keeps the site up to date and means changes are an email away. Plans roll monthly, so there’s no long commitment either way.
What happens to my old site while you build?
It stays live until the new one is ready, then we switch over in one go. Old page addresses are redirected so nothing breaks.
